reports that several female students from UNILAG are currently admitted
at Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Yaba, also known as “Yaba Left”,
for what the doctors have termed “uncontrollable twerking episodes
(UTE)”
One of FNN correspondent that went to get his own monthly drugs,was just
in time to witness a UNILAG student being rushed into the premises by
her family and friends. After several enquiries,he was able to gather
that several female students of the school had been previously processed
into the hospital, and were currently undergoing psychiatric
evaluation.
Apparently, this phenomenon began with the recent wave of dancing that
has spread over the world among the young and old, especially females,
known as “twerking.” According to one of the doctors willing to speak to
the FNN correspondent, the girls had been exhibiting several symptoms
which include:
1. Enlargement of buttocks.
2. Irresistible urge to twerk when certain songs (e.g. “The Kick” by Wande Coal) are heard no matter where they are.
3. Twerking while asleep (Twerk-sleeping).
4. Tendencies to twerk in inappropriate places and situations, e.g in a bank, during church services, or during a funeral.
According to the doctor, the girls are being closely and thoroughly
examined from all angles, and would be taped during the twerking
episodes for further analysis.
